Jenna received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Keene State College. She then earned a Masters Degree in Nutrition and Health promotion from Simmons University. While in her masters program, she completed a thesis research project along side two other colleagues to create a standardized definition of eating disorder recovery. She completed her dietetic internship at the University of New Haven.
Jenna then went to work at Mclean Hospital in Belmont, MA covering 10 different inpatient units. While at Mclean, she was able to see patients with an array of psychiatric diagnoses including: depression, anxiety, active psychosis, schizophrenia and eating disorder patients with additional psychiatric co-morbidities. This is where her passion for nutrition and mental health, and specifically eating disorders, developed.

Client testimonials
“Our kid has had the eating disorder Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) since birth. When we discovered Van Dusen Nutrition, a whole new world opened up to us. Working with Jenna has been incredible. At every appointment, she meets our kid where they are at, in the moment with positive, low key, and sensitive interactions and guidance. The most crucial component of our kid’s treatment is their food exposure therapy appointments. The food exposure experience with Jenna has helped our kid’s eating choices and food intake increase significantly. We are so grateful to have found Van Dusen Nutrition, and feel so blessed to be working with Jenna.” – Current Client
