“Food is not something to be feared, but something that can be approached with flexibility, care, and compassion. Everyone deserves to enjoy all kinds of food without any guilt or shame.”

"Food is not something to be feared, but something that can be approached with flexibility, care, and compassion. Everyone deserves to enjoy all kinds of food without any guilt or shame.”

Dana Rosenfeld, MS, RD, LDN, is a Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist at Van Dusen Nutrition. Dana currently sees clients for Individual Nutrition Counseling and Therapeutic Meal Support®.
Dana was drawn to the field of nutrition after witnessing a close friend’s battle with an eating disorder, an experience that continues to shape her compassionate, client-centered approach. She values collaboration and creates individualized plans that align with each client’s lifestyle, preferences, and goals.
Dana’s mission is to create a safe, supportive space where clients can explore their relationship with food and move toward peace with their bodies. Dana practices from a non-diet, all foods fit, and Health at Every Size® (HAES) approach, incorporating intuitive eating and evidence-based practices to support both physical and emotional well-being. Dana works to help clients reduce all-or-nothing thinking around food and discover the freedom, flexibility, and trust that come with a more intuitive approach to eating.
Dana received a Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition from New York University and completed her dietetic internship with Sodexo. Dana began her career as an inpatient dietitian at New York-Presbyterian Westchester Behavioral Health Center, where she worked across multiple inpatient units supporting individuals with eating disorders and complex psychiatric and medical needs. This is where her passion for eating disorders and the connection between nutrition and mental health deepened. Dana has spent the last three years counseling clients with disordered eating and eating disorders in an outpatient setting.
