Ali Mattia, MEd, RD, LDN, ATC/LAT, CSCS is a Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist, Certified Athletic Trainer, and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist at Van Dusen Nutrition®. Ali currently works full-time in the Needham office and sees clients for Individual Nutrition Counseling, Therapeutic Meal Support®, and Therapeutic Movement Support™. Additionally, she is a clinician who staffs our STEP® eating disorders program.

As a former athlete, sports medicine clinician, and nutrition advocate, Ali has a special interest in helping individuals overcome barriers to a healthy mind-body connection so as to create lasting relationships to food and movement.

Ali received a Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training/Sports Medicine from Quinnipiac University. She then worked as an Athletic Trainer for 7 years at private high schools in the Boston area helping athletes with injury prevention and recovery, where she discovered her passion for nutrition and education. Ali went on to earn her Master of Education with a specialization in Nutrition Education from Framingham State University and completed her dietetic program at Simmons University. After working as a diet tech at Cambridge Eating Disorder Center in Cambridge, MA for nearly 1 year, she completed her dietetic internship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston which included extensive clinical inpatient and outpatient nutrition training.

Ali is an active member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Sports and Human Performance Dietetics practice group, Multi-Service Eating Disorder Association, Collegiate and Professional Sports Dietitian Association, National Athletic Training Association, and the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
